Having now built our second home with Vic, we cannot imagine building with any other contractor. Our new home was truly a custom home and on a very unique piece of property which resulted in more than the average building challenges. Vic, his crew and subcontractors met all of these extra problems head on.
We appreciated how personable and accommodating Vic was whenever we had questions or concerns. We could tell he cared not only about meeting our needs, but exceeding our expectations. He remained accessible throughout the process and we appreciated the sometimes early morning and late evening meetings. Also, we sincerely appreciated his flexibility and understanding as we made many changes throughout the construction process.
Finally, the dedication of the entire team at Pulvermacher Construction to quality and craftsmanship were unsurpassed. We are looking forward to spending many enjoyable years in our new home and would like to thank everyone at Pulvermacher Construction for all they did to make our home-building experience a pleasurable one.
Sincerely,
Fritz and Sheri Durst
“As a senior citizen, building a new house was a huge undertaking. Working with Vic might be summed up as a hand holder experience. He provided expert advice, patience and availability. He was on the job daily supervising and participating from day one. The projected finish date was met. I display a plaque in my home that reads “Fairy Tales Do come True” – Vic turned this into a reality for me. Needless to add, I love my home!!”

We've built two homes with Vic so far. One was in Sun Prairie (2001) and the other was in Waunakee (2007 Parade of Homes). Both times were excellent experiences and beautifully crafted homes. In the two homes we've built with Vic, we've asked for some challenging things - special trim work, barrel ceiling hallway, flat roofed porches (never had a leak or an issue there), custom leaded glass windows - and with every request, we had the same great response - yes, we can do it; here's how we can do it and the options you have; here's where you can save money.
When we built our Parade home, we actually went through a number of designs (fully drawn up and bid) before we settled on the one that was built. We started late (completely our fault in changing our minds about the design we wanted) and we had a lot of snow on the ground when the foundation was dug. We really thought we were going to fall way behind schedule ... but, Vic organized his crews and subs and it went very, very smoothly. We finished on time for the Parade and we were completely amazed. The workmanship in the house was wonderful. Vic, himself, trimmed our dining room which has a very intricate pattern/size to it. We've had no major issues with the house ... it's been 3 years and the quality really shines through. No corners were cut.
One other area that we've been pleased with is energy efficiency. Green building is important today and Vic helps guide you through your choices if this is what you want. Everything from insulation to hot water pipe runs to wall thickness to air leaks is paid attention to in the design process. Both of our homes have been very comfortable but also green.
If/when we build another house, we will be calling Vic.

“We became acquainted with Vic Pulvermacher - Pulvermacher Construction during the 2000 Parade of Homes. It is now 2010 and we have built two homes with him and his competent crew. Vic spent time with us designing our 2001 Parade Home, listening to our ideas, concerns and needs. The process was extremely professional. He was timely in returning calls, completing projects as scheduled. The workmanship is exemplary. Our first home proved to be a great experience - in 2004 we built again with Pulvermacher Construction, same wonderful experience. We commend Vic and his expertise!”
